INSTRATA® II
INSTRATA® II combines the forces of two powerful active ingredients, Solatenol™ and fludioxinil. Solatenol assimilates into the plants via translaminar movement, strongly binding to the plant’s cuticular wax, and slowly penetrating into the tissue. Solatenol also exhibits upward movement within grass plants, giving protection from snow mould from the inside out throughout the winter season. Instrata II couples solatenol with fludioxinil, a protectant, contact fungicide which inhibits fungal spore germination and stops mycelial growth. It is the same active ingredient contained in Medallion® fungicide. Read more.

Product Benefits
- Excellent control of pink and gray snow mould.
- Solatenol is a third generation SDHI (succinate dehydrogenase inhibitor) fungicide representing a NEW family of chemistry for snow mould control.
- Lowest amount of active ingredient (ai) load of any snow mould fungicide available.
- One case of Instrata® II covers almost 6 acres. Less packaging, less mixing and filling and less clean up.
- Engineered with trusted Weatherstick technology for optimized performance.
Mode of Action
Instrata II combines contact and systemic fungicides that target multiple sites in the fungal pathogen. The product is supplied in a co-pack consisting of Instrata II A, fludioxonil at 125 g/L and Instata II B containing 100 g/L of benzovindiflupyr. Combining the powerful forces of Solatenol® and fludioxonil, Instrata® II delivers 825 grams of active ingredient per hectare the lowest AI load of any snow mould fungicide available on the market.

Class of Chemistry
Solatenol® is a third generation SDHI fungicide that inhibits fungal spore germination and works by stopping fungal germ tube penetration into the leaf. It assimilates into the plants via translaminar movement, strongly binding to the plant’s cuticular wax, and slowly penetrating into the tissue. Solatenol® also exhibits upward movement within grass plants, giving protection from snow mould from the inside out throughout the winter season.
Fludioxonil is a protectant, contact fungicide which in effect, inhibits fungal spore germination and stops mycelial growth. It is the same active ingredient contained in Medallion® fungicide.
FRAC Group: 7, 12
Uses
Turf Safety:
INSTRATA II Fungicide is used in a preventative disease control program. INSTRATA II Fungicide provides disease control of snow mould in turfgrass.
For best control, use as a component of an integrated disease management program. Under conditions of high snow mould pressure (pink and/or grey) also include BANNER MAXX®, HERITAGE MAXX® or SECURE in the tank mix.
For Control Of:
- Pink and Grey Snow Mould

Application Information
Use Rates:
- 60 mL / 100m2 Instrata II A, fludioxonil (Medallion®)
- 7.5 mL / 100m2 Instrata II B, benzovindiflupyr (Solatenol®)
Water Volume:
2.0 - 8.0 L water / 100m2
Application Information:
- Use Instrata II Fungicide IN A PREVENTATIVE DISEASE CONTROL PROGRAM.
- Apply 67.5 mL/100m2 of Instrata II for control of Pink and Gray Snow Mould (60 mL/100m2 fludioxonil and 7.5 mL/100m2 of Solatenol®)
- For optimum disease control tank mix INSTRATA II A Fungicide with INSTRATA II B Fungicide. Under conditions of high disease pressure also include BANNER MAXX or Heritage MAXX in the tank mix.
- Make one application in the late fall before snow cover.
- DO NOT apply on top of snow or when the temperature is below 0ºC.
- For best control, use as a component of an integrated disease management program.
- Use AI, XR or Syngenta XC nozzles.
Mixing Order:
To prepare spray solution, fill half of the required water volume in the spray tank with clean water and begin agitation. Add the required amount of INSTRATA II A Fungicide (suspension), followed by INSTRATA II B Fungicide (emulsifiable concentrate) to the tank, allowing time for good dispersion. Finish filling the tank to the desired volume to obtain the proper spray concentration. Maintain agitation throughout the spraying operation. Do not allow spray mixture to stand overnight or for prolonged periods. Sprayers should be calibrated before application and thoroughly cleaned immediately after application.
Use Restrictions:
- DO NOT apply this product through any type of irrigation system.
- DO NOT apply on top of snow or when the temperature is below 0ºC.
- DO NOT apply during periods of dead calm.
- DO NOT apply more than 180mL of Instrata IIA Fungicide per 100m2per year.
- DO NOT apply more than 30mL of Instrata IIB Fungicide per 100m2per year.
- Keep people and pets away from areas treated with Instrata II Fungicide until treated area has dried.
- DO NOT use silicone based products with INSTRATA II B Fungicide due to possible phytotoxicity.
