Branson Wins at PGA in Calgary

Branson Ferrier wins PGA Assistants' Championship of Canada at -11.

Last Week, Golf Professionals from around the country gathered at Winston Golf Club to compete in the PGA Assistants’ Championship of Canada. Our very own Branson Ferrier traveled cross country to test his skills against the countries best, hoping to lock down what would be his 3rd professional win of his career

After 2 excellent rounds of 69, 68, Branson entered the final day tied for the lead at 7 under par with the strong belief that he could outplay anyone in the field. It is this kind of self belief that takes years of practice and experience to achieve, and so Branson decided to solidify these thoughts in his yardage book, writing "You're the best player in the field, play like it".

On the third and final day, Branson came out of the gates hot, with an eagle on hole 3, followed by a Bogey on hole 4, but making up for the bogey with 3 consecutive birdies to finish -3 on the front nine. With another birdie on hole 11, Branson would take control of the lead and par out to win with a 2 stroke lead over his competitors and finish 11 under par for the week.

Branson became the only player to score below 70 on all three days; with tough conditions and cold temperatures, that is quite the feat indeed!

Thank you Branson for representing us so well. You are truly a class act on and off the course.
